A Truly Exceptional Stay at Motel One Madrid Plaza de España I cannot speak highly enough of Motel One Madrid Plaza de España. Having been loyal guests for over 20 years, my family and I consider this hotel our home away from home. What keeps us coming back year after year is, without a doubt, the extraordinary staff who go above and beyond to make every stay unforgettable. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bedding. Good breakfast, I enjoyed it. Beautiful décor. Safe and well-connected area. The bathroom wasn't clean enough, there was hair in the shower. There wasn't a kettle with coffee and tea.
Excellent location near Plaza de Espana with plenty of option for the meal nearby. Walking distance to may of the tourist attractions. Room was clean and small fridge was good enough to keep my water bottles cool. They also kept my luggage safe after the check-out which was really convenient for a person with evening flight.
Travelling by myself I was so pleased to find this hotel. A warm welcome and a cosy place to return to after many hours walking the streets of Madrid.

Hotel staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location is convenient and the rooms comfortable with a delicious breakfast buffet! Reasonably priced. We will definitely stay there again!
Cosy, Clean and very central.
Motel One Madrid is in a fantastic location with all attractions within walking distance. There are a large number of affordable restaurants near the hotel, as well as two self-service grocery stores. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are much larger than you would expect from Motel One, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Plus, the rooms have a small fridge, which is not a typical feature of Motel One. What could be improved is the soundproofing, as noise from nearby cafes reaches the rooms until around 1 am. Also, there are no carpets in the rooms, which I am used to in Motel One, and the duvet is very tightly tucked in, so it takes about five minutes to pull it out. I recommend placing it as in other hotels in the chain - folded on the bed. These are really minor quibbles, I always feel great at Motel One, like I'm at home.

Motel One is consistently good for short breaks, Location and proximity to Transport and Staff attitude are all good. A special thanks to the Barman who helped my wife with a minor problem. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice, quiet, modern hotel with excellent location, but a few things could’ve been improved like water/coffee/kettle in the room; lighting on terrace; price (I paid 478€ for two nights, which is higher than other weekends including Los Reyes in January 2025!..); size of the rooms.

Location is perfect. You can do all center of the city by walking. Hotel and room very clear. Staff is friendly and available to help at any time. Breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend.
Hotel rooms are renovated. Well designed. Building from outside may seem a bit old but insider quite modern. Location is extremely perfect. Close distance to main streets. Plaza de Espana is about 300m away. Breakfast is delicious and has variety of foods. Strongly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Madrid.

We have stayed in The Motel One Plaza España for the second time now with all of our colleagues, 25 people. The service and attention of Héctor and his staff members is just FANTASTIC. They all attend you with a smile and a helping hand, every single day. We can recommend this hotel with a big 10. The cleaning, the breakfast, the service....a big THANK YOU again to all of you at The Motel One. We will be back next year !

This was a nice hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern, the parking garage was super convenient, and the breakfast was good. We only stayed one night, but could have stayed longer. It was close to Plaza de Espana and a beautiful park where you can see the sun rise and set. Also only about a 10 minute walk to the castle and the plaza mayor. The only negative thing was there was a strong smell of sewage in the lobby when we were there.

The overall experience was very good and the location is great.
Staff were extremely friendly n accommodating. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in rooms as there are in some other motel ones however prices in the bar are very reasonable. The step from the room to the balcony is quite high n another step should probably be put in there.
The room is clean and kept. Our room balcony doesn't feel safe, there's access from another rooms balcony. Staff is not so welcoming compared to Barcelona staff.
Overall it was good except that I can hear the shower and flush of the rooms beside me (on both sides) and any movement they make (doors closing etc) also when they talk (echos of it).
While my stay was mostly pleasant, one downside was the noise in the mornings. Starting from 9 AM, it became quite loud due to the staff cleaning and carrying out other tasks, which made it difficult to sleep in or relax. If you're a light sleeper, this is something to be aware of, as the noise can be disruptive.
I love this hotel group. Madrid hotel was wonderful. Very helpful staff- especially Hector who helped me get my bag from Finnair.
I liked alot of things about the hotel. Especially the staff! But maybe the breakfast could have been a bit better(dry bread and better coffee for ex). That's all!
Sfeer was rustig en zeer vriendelijk. Heerlijke kamer, ruim en schoon. Uitgebreid ontbijt.
Quick and easy booking. The offer of a free cab from the airport via booking.com was attractive, too. Nice, spacious and clean room and bathroom (although there was a problem with the faucet - water came out splashing hard)
Great location, great breakfast. Good spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. I also want to specifically point out your cleaning crew. I had the sign on my door that I won’t need daily cleaning and towel change. One of your team, I think she was called Felicitas, made sure to welcome me and introduce herself, and said to contact her if I need anything. It was such a charming and nice welcome by her, and I really appreciated it. I know that the cleaning crew is usually almost invisible to guests, so I wanted to make sure that you know how wonderful they are.
The shower could be a bit cleaner but that’s all. 99€ for the room includ. Breakfast was a fair price!

Prima hotel, goede service. Hotel ligt mooi central om allerlei bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken. Personeel is erg vriendelijk.
Ruime, schone kamer. Fijn dat er een garage bij zit. Jammer dat er geen flesjes water op de kamer staan bij aankomst.
Goede ervaring Negatief: douche kop is fout geïnstalleerd waardoor deze niet correct kan gepositioneerd worden
Geen koffie op de kamer en de douche werkt niet goed. Personeel was super vriendelijk alles was proper.
Ik werd geholpen door Ines & Mayra ( als ik het goed schrijf ) Ze waren heel vriendelijk en hebben ons hartelijk ontvangen! Het hotel is goed gelegen en je krijgt waar voor je geld. We komen zeker nog een keer terug :)

Met de hand op het hart: als we ‘laissez-faire’ en ‘savoir-vivre’ horen, denken we als eerste aan Parijs. Maar er is nog een andere Europese metropool die om de titel ‘hoofdstad der levenslust’ strijdt. Namelijk Madrid. En zo slecht zijn haar kansen niet. Temperamentvolle flamenco, gepassioneerde nachtbrakers, koninklijk voetbal: deze stad slaapt nooit.
De Spaanse laissez-faire is niet alleen te merken in de historische steegjes van het oude centrum. Trouwens: als u het even niet weet, kunt u gewoon inloggen op de gratis wifi en kunt u de hotspots van Madrid opzoeken. U mag best een beetje valsspelen.
Vol energie om Madrid te ontdekken? Dan, hup de drukte in! Eerste stop: Plaza de España. Leer de naamgenoot van uw hotel persoonlijk kennen. Meer dan 70.000 vierkante meter nodigen u uit om er wat rond te slenteren, tijd door te brengen en te ontspannen. Volgende stop: Palacio Real de Madrid. In het koninklijk paleis uit de 18e eeuw wonen de rijken en koninklijken der aarde. Over ‘rijk en koninklijk’ gesproken: ook in het voetbalstadion Estadio Santiago Bernabéu gaat het er koninklijk aan toe. Het heilige gras behoort Real Madrid toe, het voetbalteam dat ook wel bekend staat als ‘de Koninklijke’.
