Room and hotel were good - as usual with MotelOne. But service (particularly reception) was far (!) below other MotelOnes we have stayed. Staff was overwhelmed with just a few check ins which resulted in long waiting times. Luggage that was left after check-out was left unattended right in front of the door for at least 20 mins. Just not good service!
Great hotel, just a few mins walk from Ostbahnhof station, and with plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Staff were great, and friendly.
The hotel itself was lovely The room quite basic but adequate for our weekend stay
The hotel was perfect for my short business trip to Munich. Location was very convenient for me, the room had everything I needed, the staff was very friendly and helpful, I could even check in early. Breakfast was good, I appreciated the plant-based milk alternatives. Many thanks, would be happy to come back!
Great conditions, nice staff, the room was also ok. Breakfast was good as well. One thing I didn't like was the small blanket.
I booked for one night for a single person. Great: + Warm welcome, helped with keeping my luggage for the day + Modern, spacious and clean room + Comfortable bed + Room was next to the intersection, but I didn't hear the cars Could be improved: - Only a single person blanket for the king size bed?? - Room was in front of the elevator, the room wasn't soundproof. I could hear the elevator all night. - No door for the shower, water went everywhere - Maybe add thin curtains to let the light pass, but add privacy from outside view
I personally would love body lotion in the room .
Nice hotel with excellent location. Friendly staff. Nothing for complain.
Clean room, convenient check in and check out
In our first floor room we found that we had to keep the window shut as the noise, and smell of cigarette smoke from people chatting and smoking at the outside tables filtered into the room. Also noticed on this visit that quite a few of the coffee mugs were chipped
Everything was very good. The only problem is that I asked and was not explained about my free breakfast (membership) when I arrived, so I could not use my voucher and I won´t be able to do so in the near future.
The rooms incl. the bathroom are just too small. I liked the safe on the room, the complimentary water and the overall styling of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy.
This is a nice hotel in a good location, walkable to the old town. The room was clean and the facilities were up to date.
Had signed up for the B1 program to get free breakfast, but then was told it would have to be used on a future booking. I’m not from Germany or Europe, so this is very unlikely that I would be back at one anytime soon to use it so this was very disappointing. I also had emailed in advance to confirm that the hotel showers had shampoo and conditioner, which they did not! if I had known this, I would have brought my own. Women’s hair needs conditioner!
Loved our stay at MotelOne! Great value for the price!
This is my third time staying at this particular hotel in Munich. Always a warm welcome, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere within the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and always guaranteed to have a peaceful nights sleep.
Excellent customer service checking in. The room was compact but all the key areas were excellent - bed comfort, shower temperature and power and soundproofing. Did not have any breakfast so cannot comment on that.
Alles ok
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the location was walking distance to the Metro. It was a great place to stay during Oktoberfest!
I loved my room on the 7th floor, the staff was super friendly and top supporting (breakfast service - so kind and comforting), the hotel is in a remarkable shape and look - I am travelling a lot for business in Europe and the world, but I was really positively surprised by the Motel One Haidhausen. I will come back, thank you for the wonderful stay I had.
The room has bare essentials. No frig and no electric kettle. Minimum hangers Tight bathroom space The location of the safe (part of the night stand) was a challenge . You have to squat down on your hands and knees to open the safe. The air conditioning was not effective and did little to cool the room.
All and all a pleasant staff and location. Haidhausen seems a more low key part of Munich. It is pretty quick to get to big tourist spots like Marienplatz and the Wiesn from the Ostbahnof station. But for my money, I would recommend taking the time to stroll around the Haidhausen neighborhood and see what you can find. Also, I want to highlight if you have the MotelOne app, do look into their city guides, I went to Giorgia Trattoria —which was recommended, and it was some of the best Italian food I have ever had. The decor was also a bit eclectic. There is also a local brewpub across the street —Camba, more American style than Munich, but still a good time. I also recommend the rooftop bar at Dachgarten auf dem Gasteig, if you can climb the stairs you’ll be treated to a great view. Also Zum Brünnstein for a more authentic Munich cuisine and atmosphere.
A clean tidy room on the top floor. Extremely efficient welcome checkin. Easy access to good restaurants and city.
Very nice hotel located close to the Ostbahnhof. The lounge area is so chic and the staff are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good and there are many restaurants nearby to choose from. The room is small but adequate. Providing a dustbin in the room in addition to the one in the bathroom would be nice. It was a great stay, we would come back!
Generally very nice to stay with you, but the WLAN should connect automatically throughout your stay and there should be a small kettle in the room to make tea/coffee. A fitness / wellness area would be the cherry on the cake :-)
It was a very pleasant surprise Stayed for 5 days and we’re given a larger room quite cosy
Late arrival for 3 rooms and getting into the parking with 2 cars was not a good expérience at all The desk counter was not speaking english at all and was alone for the desk and the bar with too many clients
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast.
When we have stayed in other hotels which average £100 per night, we would expect some basic services such as access to a kettle, tea/coffee and water. I’m aware these are available at the reception/ bar but to pay extra for what other hotels view as standard (including much cheaper options) is we feel too much. Providing smoking facilities immediately outside the entrance as terrible as we had to walk through a smoking corridor a few times. Can this not be moved to the side of the building? When checking in, we were informed that breakfast had been included. It also said BB on the room key wallet. We arrived for breakfast to be informed it wasn’t included. When we indicated this is what we had been told, the staff member encouraged us to carry on and she would enquire at reception. Mid way through eating, she then told us we would need to pay. Why were we told to carry on in the first place. This cost us a further 33 Euros for what was very basic food. If she had said she would enquire and asked us to wait a couple of minutes, we would have then declined breakfast if she confirmed we were to pay. This is terrible service.
The only good staff we encountered in this hotel was the Blanka, Mr. Reyes (of Hispanic descent at front desk) and the kind sir who helped us fix our shower head. On our second day, the shower head broke, and when we first reported it to one of the lady front desk, she told us to wait until the afternoon for someone to come and fix it without any urgency shown at all. We came back down again and made sure we spoke to Blanka, knowing how responsive she was, and as expected she was the one who tried to settled it asap for us. The room was ok, but we hated the layout of the bathroom mainly because the floor was always wet and cold. Basic amenities not available such as dental kits. No cups/saucer/cutleries, coffee machine/kettle in the room. No bathroom slippers. The pillows and bed were comfortable for us and the balcony was a nice touch and would've preferred to enjoy it in a colder weather. Another thing was the AC Wasn't cold and we went in the Summer, but since we were out most of the time we chose to make do with it instead of experiencing the hassle of moving to another room etc.
The stay at the hotel was very pleasant and the room and the food were excellent every day.
nice hotel, nice place in Munich, excellent and very friendly staff. thanks for a lovely stay
This hotel was fantastic with great service and great staff. Highly recommend.
great service, very positive vibe amongst the people.
Love the hotel
Great hotel, staff and location. Beautiful, communal lobby, staff is very friendly and accommodating, good breakfast and conveniently located to public transportation, restaurants and downtown. On the downside: We stayed 5 nights. This hotel is best for one or two night stays. The rooms are tiny and the breakfast is the exact same with no variation each day. We hosted friends on a couple of occasions in the lobby. Very nice and comfortable but staff needs to be trained on the mixology skills. Otherwise great place. We’ll be back for a shorter stay.
Excellent, as usual. I was given a quiet interior room as requested. I had asked for a room not too close to the lift. There were two rooms between mine and the lift, but I could still hear the lift and had to put in ear plugs to get to sleep. But otherwise fine.
Great stay! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Clean room, comfortable beds and good breakfast, always a pleasure. Thank you
Service at reception is probably the worse I have ever experienced.
Recommendation for Adaption: In my room there was only the thick turquoise curtains. Please include also the semi-transparent (white) ones, so you get light into the room and thereby still have privacy from the opposite side. Please provide a shoe horn. (Schuhanzieher)
I had a usual good stay but this time the bed was too soft. Nevertheless, I had asked for help with extra blanket and got it well, so afterwards I had less pain in my back. Also, this time the cost was unexpectedly high due to an event in the city. Otherwise, I am happy about my stay and will soon come again.
Overall very please with the hotel and room.
