Very kind staff, an amazing view from the 9th floor (especially regarding the fireworks) an awesome variety of breakfast even for vegetarians or vegans - there’s nothing to complain about!
Poblems getting my invoice modification. The invoice was online paid. By mail I was told that on arrival could be modified. On arrival the staff said that I should write to the financial departament explaining my request. After by mail they said that I should sent reservation number (when it was already in the mail). Later they said that was not possible because was online paid. Then I insisted and they sent a new invoice exactly the same. This is incredible. A lot of energy is used in this story for nothing. Lack of profesionalism.
The hotel is relatively cheap and quite well situated. The 18th floor was definitely quiet. Room is small but modern. What it lacks is any spirit, a good breakfast buffet, and coffee tea and a fridge in the room. The bedsheet had a strange fresh stain on it. It was solved by housekeeping. The bar is not very atmospheric. They sell expensive cocktails and overpriced wine. Beer was only a very small selection. I thought parking was free, but that costs 20 euro per night you stay. If you have the time you may want to park elsewhere for less.

Really happy, thanks to the great staff. I was given a room on a higher floor upon request and I appreciate the polite, competent and proactive help. Also, the breakfast is impressive, especially the perfect eggs.
I made a booking online directly with the hotel and arrived after midnight. My booking was canceled by the hotel without telling me. Luckily the gentleman at the reception was able to bike me again but the price was higher and no breakfast included so I had to pay more than my original booking.

Overall good, however the last night was incredible, unpleasantly noisy due to an electronic music party in the student campus bordering the hotel.
Ophold med 2 overnatninger. Fint ophold, dog kunne der være bedre planlægning mht. morgenmaden. At man kunne vælge tidsrum, så der ikke er så lang kø.
I booked two rooms for 4 nights yet the person at the reception named Anas just gave me ONE bottle of water. I had to beg for a second considering I had two rooms. Furthermore as member of Motel One I got a breakfast voucher for which I thank you but then what is tis gift worth if the validity term is just three months....!
No light in my room. No other room available, had to wait 1 hour extra at check in.

Excellent service in general, very friendly staff. Very good breakfast! Not so happy though about having to wait in the middle of my check in, due to another guest being vocal about some problem and the person checking me in left to help her colleague. She should have finalised my check-in first, then helped her colleague, but I guess she got stressed/annoyed by the other guest, so … Also, the very large and obvious spiderweb between a ceiling lamp and the wall didn’t help the impression of cleanliness. In general, the hotel felt a bit lacking in being cleaned well. Regarding my choice to “not recommend” this hotel is not due to the hotel at all. I would recommend it, but I would warn about Steindamm and not to go further than the police station, due to all addicts, junkies, drunks and a lot of shady people on the lower part of the street. It’s not a street you want to be at walking in the evening when it’s dark outside. Apart from that, the location is nice with the park area outside. If you take a taxi to and from the hotel and don’t plan to leave it, then no problem.

Hotel is good. But it is expected to keep some kettle to heat the drinking water and water bottles in the room. That is minimum requirement to provide.
Location great, very clean, stylish, modern, what I would expect from a Motel1 property. I was asked at checkin if I needed the room serviced during my 2 night stay, and I said no. I was then told to ask them if I need anything. I was given a bottle of still water on the first night, and I assumed that I would be allowed one for the second night. I asked the next day but the same receptionist told me "you only get one" after previously having said to ask at reception if I need anything. I also think it would have been a nice gesture to allow me the water seeing as I did decline the offer of room service and thus allowing the staff more time to do other things. On the other hand when I asked if I could buy a coffee the breakfast attendant told me I could just grab one for free, which was appreciated. So it just felt a bit inconsistent around little things like this. Additionally, a small chiller for drinks in the room would have been nice.

I always try to book Motel One where available as it provides a consistently good experience. I know exactly what I get and have not once been disappointed (I have been at Motel One in Brussels, Manchester, Vienna, and most branches in Berlin).
Metro line 1, which takes you right to the center of town and also to the Elbphilharmonie is right in front of the hotel. The Alster is a 10 minutes walk away as is the transportation hub "Berliner Tor", so location is excellent to get around the city. The area itself is not particularly nice even though I did nor feel unsafe. Personnel at the front desk is exceptionally friendly and helpful. For the rest it is a no frills anonymous hotel but you have everything you really need at a very affordable price. Ideal for a short stay.
Everything was clean. Everybody was friendly. It was fine. Especially the bar guys in the evening are amazing. Also reception was very friendly and wanted to help. Some seem to be a little bit confused and couldn´t book the room correctly. But her colleague was able to help. The room is very small but ok. Some normal standard, especially in this price range, was missing. - Mini bar/cooler - Glasses - Cups for coffee - Watermaker - the paper cups in the bathroom are not nice for this level of hotel - wardrobe to put clothes properly, it is a mess when you stay for 5 days
Nice room on high floor as requested, thank you. But this Motel One is looking a bit tired and needs a refresh. No safe in the room, not even a folding stand to open a suitcase on. Didn't feel like great value for money compared to Dresden Z or Leipzig N.

Everything ran very smoothly from check in to check out. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when I left my backpack in the lobby on departure and only realised this on my way to the airport. I returned to the hotel to find that my backpack had been placed safely in a room behind the reception area.

This hotel is very centrally located near the metro and the main station. The lobby is very clean and well maintained. Although the rooms are small, but they are adequate and have sufficient equipment for a short overnight stay. The bar and reception are staffed non-stop. The prices in this class are appropriate for the quality. Unfortunately there is no safe in the room. I will be prefer more snacks on offer in hotel bar. The luggage storage ist plus. Very kindly staff, especially very helpful receptionist Martin. Anyway I will recommend this hotel.
We have rarely received such a friendly welcome in a hotel and were able to check in and move into our room shortly after 12 noon, which was great. The hotel makes a very good impression overall. The room was small but nice, had everything it needed and was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was also clean and odourless. The bed was very comfortable, we slept really well. We would come back again.

Vi har boet hos jer flere gange, men denne gang lugtede værelset indelukket og fugtigt hver gang vi havde været ude. Og vi måtte lufte ud. Sæbepumpen var i stykker i bruser og jeg skilte den ad og satte frem så rengøring kunne skifte, men samme pumpe der var i stykker blev sat på igen og igen. Morgen maden var ok, desværre var det beskidt efter andre morgenmads gæster med krummer og andet på stole pg gulvet. Det var ikke særligt indbydende. Så var at være vores yndlings hotel i Hamborg overvejer vi nu at finde et andet næste gang da vi ikke synes hotellet levede op til prisen.
Tingene fungerer. Morgenmads buffeten er en smule kaotisk! Det er ikke optimalt, at sidde i en sofa/lænestol og spise morgenmad
Handicap værelse er ikke for mig. En grund til at vælge motel one er Queen size bed

Generelt et godt ophold - dejligt med parkering direkte ved hotel til ok pris. Morgenmaden er fin, men der er for lidt plads til gæsterne pga indretningen med lounge stole/område
Indkvartering acceptabel selvom værelserne er ultra små. Egner sig bedst til rejsende med håndbagage! Sengeborde mangler. Indtagelse af morgenmad er TOTALT KAOS. Morgenmadsfaciliteterne er slet ikke dimensioneret til antal værelser. De plagierede designstole et totalt uegnede at sidde i og spise morgenmad, desuden tager de uforholdsmæssig meget plads. Selve morgenmadsbuffeten er en skuffelse. De opslag der sidder i elevatoren og fortæller om alle de bioprodukter man kan finde på buffeten er vildt overdrevet. I reklamerer med “fair Trade”, men det der kommer ud af maskinerne er, på nær café creme, ikke andet end mælkeskum med en slat kaffe i. Aldrig mere morgenmad på jeres hoteller!
God hjælp ved indcheckning og godt værelse og lækker varieret morgenmad.
Jeg kan godt lide konceptet. Værelset er meget lille, men velfungerende. Jeg kunne dog godt ønske mig et bedre og mere velbelyst arbejdsbord med et el- stik. Toilettet kunne godt være udstyret med en bidet-funktion.
Altid en fornøjelse på motel one Alster. Venligt personale, beliggenheden, parkerings kælderen. Små fine værelser. Wifi der logger af selvom jeg er motelone member bliver jeg ikke gode venner med og der ku godt være nogle internationale kanaler på tv’et. Alles auf Deutsch.
Et dejligt sted hvor vi fik lige det vi havde forestillet os. Der er det altid en fornøjelse at bo på Motel One. Kommer gerne igen.

Vores prisvenlige designhotel ligger i det trendy kvarter St. Georg og tæt på de to Alster-søer. Bifloden Alster udspringer nord for Hamborg og opdæmmes midt i byen i de to kunstige søer Binnen- og Außenalster, der egner sig perfekt til diverse former for sejlsport, men også udgør en smuk kulisse for de omkringliggende parker og grønne områder. Grundet hotellets centrale placering er du hurtigt fremme ved byens mange seværdigheder til fods. F.eks. er der kun få minutter til fods til Mönckebergstraße, en af byens vigtigste shoppinggader. Via U- og S-bahnstationen Berliner Tor samt U-bahnstationen Lohmühlenstraße lige uden for hotellet har du forbindelse til offentlig transport i og omkring Hamborg. Ved ankomst og afrejse med toget vil du helt sikkert sætte pris på det faktum, at Hamborg Hovedbanegård kun ligger få hundrede meter væk fra hotellet.
